After long-lasting considerations in administrative and economic courts of the NaUKMA claim for defending its right on using the buildings of Cells, Prothesis and Hegumen’s House, by a decision of the Economic Court of Kyiv ( May 3, 2012) and by decrees of the Appellate Court of Kyiv ( May 16, 2012), NaUKMA demand on the Clinic #15 eviction from the abovementioned buildings was sustained.
The Cells, Prothesis and Hegumen’s House belong to the Brotherhood Monastery architectural complex, which consists of 11 historic buildings of 17-19th centuries located at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy historic premises. Till the summer of 2012, the university was not allowed to use these buildings. Now the main task is to provide urgent restoration and repair of the constructions, which are in critical condition.
Within the Restoration Project, this year NaUKMA managed to raise UAH 6 million of donors’ funds for the initial anti-wreck works in the building of Cells, which is supposed to be used as study rooms for IT-students.
